The future is profound collaboration! - Launch of HW Corporate

Press Release: Launch of “Keeping the Cranes Up: Can Planning Transform Our Economy?” - Half-day event to be held at Artola House, Belfast on Wednesday 28 November 2018

Collaboration is the future. And to demonstrate it, Conor Houston, Director at Houston Solutions and Richard Willis, Founder of Willis Events & Marketing, under the banner of HW Corporate, are delivering an innovative series of events that aim to highlight the cross-sectoral collaboration required to address the challenges facing our growing city and region.

Through their events, HW Corporate will explore opportunities for the business sector, promote collaboration and develop strategies for future-proofing our society.

Speaking at the launch of HW Corporate, Conor Houston, who has provided strategic advice to leaders in business and government, remarked “During his visit to Belfast in April 2018, former US president Bill Clinton gave a simple piece of advice to business in Northern Ireland: ‘Keep the cranes up!’ Belfast is a city transforming and the economic development of our city is fundamental to our continued prosperity.”

He added  “Our first event in November will bring together leaders from across legal, planning, economic development and business to examine how we "keep the cranes up."

The event is supported by Mills Selig, one of NI’s leading commercial law firms who are frequently involved in advising on the sale, purchase, financing and leasing of prominent property transactions in Belfast, particularly in recent times the iconic Scottish Mutual Building, Havelock House and the Weaving Works (formerly Armagh House).

Richard Willis, who has delivered some of NI’s biggest and most impactful events, said that “Keeping the Cranes Up’ is a half day conference where delegates will hear from leaders in Planning, Law, Government and the Private Sector to explore how planning can transform our economy, including from Alistair Reid, Director of Place & Economy at Belfast City Council.”

He explained that the “event will be aimed at those involved in planning, construction, property development, and the wider professional services sector.”

‘Keeping The Cranes Up’ will take place from 8am-12pm on Wednesday 28th November in the heart of the city in the newly regenerated Grade A office space ‘Artola House’.

Anne Skeggs, Director and Head of Mills Selig’s  Property Team spoke at the launch: “Mills Selig are delighted to be partnering with HW Corporate for this event, ‘Keeping The Cranes Up’.  As one of Northern Ireland’s leading commercial law firms, Mills Selig understand there has never been a more important time to bring together leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss the development of Belfast.”
